Good Stone Award Poster Award Travel Award

Good Stone Award (Application Closed)

Good Stone Awards will be given to those speakers who have made outstanding presentations at the Young Investigators' Symposium on December 4. Among the winners, "Excellent Stone Awards" will be granted to the best presentations.

Winners will be announced and awarded at the Farewell Banquet on December 9. Speakers at the Young Investigators' Symposium are required to attend the Banquet.

Poster Award (Application Closed)

Poster Awards will be given to those speakers who have made outstanding presentations at the Young Investigators' Poster Competition on December 5, 6, 8, and 9.

Winners will be announced and awarded at the Farewell Banquet on December 9. Applicants for the Poster Competition are required to attend the Banquet.

Travel Award (Application Closed)

Travel Awards will be granted to young investigators who seek financial assistance to attend the 5th IPS.

Applicants will be notified on the final decision by early November. A prize for the grant will be paid in Japanese Yen in cash at the reception desk during the Symposium, and winners will be awarded at the Farewell Banquet on December 9.

Applicants must be graduate students or post-doctoral fellows within 5 years of completion of Ph.D., and will submit and present papers at this Symposium. Applicants are also required to attend the entire meeting.

How to apply
Applicants for the Travel Award must submit a complete application package (preferably in a single PDF file) containing the documents listed below. Please send a package via e-mail to info@5ips.jp by August 31, 2010.

4. Abstract (Applicant must send the same abstract as submitted online through the
5th IPS website.)
5. A recommendation letter from his/her supervisor
6. A one-page essay describing Applicant's research focus and perspective for his/her
future work
